Servicing Your Solar PV
As well as installs we also service solar systems. The service includes a system check using a PV plug in computer, a visual check on wiring and also a panel clean. We offer one service for free with all of our installs. A healthy system will serve you well!
Repairs

We are located in Wylam and want what is best for our clients. We are a family company that offer a first class service to clients and after the install we are here to maintain and assist with the running of your system!

Planning
There are many different sizes and types of solar systems on offer. Ranging from the Rolls Royce to the system designed on a budget. To ensure we get the correct system for you, we will discuss your requirements and come up with different alternatives for you to choose from. One of the biggest difficulties for clients is making the final choice between different solar companies and the mind boggling quotations… Dont worry, we will happily discuss openly between all the packages on offer and also price match like for like systems!

The Install
Once you have chosen your PV system, you can rest assured that the install will be smooth and professional. We will fit your system, and our work is quality assured by MCS! We will send you a schedule of works via email and keep you updated with progress. At the end of the install once the scaffolding comes down we will return to ensure the site is clean and tidy, answering all the questions you may have.

Questions
Does my roof need to be south facing?
The simple answer is ‘No’. An East/ West roof will provide a really good system as well. We have also installed on North facing roofs, these produce approximately 65% of what a South facing roof would produce.
Do I need batteries?
In short, the answer is yes. Gone are the days of big feed in tariffs, so now you want to store as much of the electric you produce as possible.
Will my PV system supply all our needs?
The solar generated will look like a bell shaped curve graph, with June/ July generating the most solar and December/ January producing the least. In the winter months you will need to draw energy from the grid, but this can be done by charging your home batteries using off peak rates (this can save you 300% to 400% in some cases). We have lots of solutions to save you money.
What will be our return on investment?
This is where you need to be very careful with lots of companies as the inflationary percentages used are often set to the MCS maximum, i.e. showing more persuasive figures than what is realistic. We will provide a range of calculations and talk you through each one to help you make an informed decision. To date, typical ROI’s on the systems we have designed and installed range from 6 to 9 years.
How long will my system last?
Again this is a difficult question to give a definitive answer to, as many factors could affect your system. Typically, we have the following warranties on components, but would expect them to last 1.5 times longer as a minimum:
Inverter – 10 Year warranty (can be extended)
Battery – 10 Year warranty
Panels – 30 Year warranty
